During a trip to St. Louis on Mother’s Day in 2008, Liz took her first Bikram yoga class on a whim with her mom and cousin who was 39 weeks pregnant at the time. She wore an over-sized t-shirt and baggy sweatpants to that first class and in the ten years since then, she has continued to learn something from every class, the least of which being proper attire. Liz continued her practice for the almost immediate decrease in seemingly endless anxiety and related panic attacks. Her passion for this yoga took her to teacher training in Thailand in the fall of 2014. Liz relocated back to St. Louis from Chicago in the fall of 2015 and started teaching at Pure Hot Yoga. Like any relationship, her practice has been a journey full of ups and downs but it’s true that the hardest part of class is showing up. Her words to live by: “Whether you think you can or you can’t, you’re right”.
